Founded in 1991, Beaches Habitat for Humanity is a Christian housing organization dedicated to the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live. As an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, we partner with families and individuals in the Jacksonville Beaches community to build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Recognizing the importance of education in empowering people to build strength, stability and independence, Beaches Habitat also offers college scholarships, after-school tutoring, and incentives for academic excellence to our homeowners and their families. Through financial support, volunteering or adding a voice to support affordable housing, everyone can help families to build better lives for themselves. Through shelter, we empower.
