READ USA opens pathways for children in under-resourced communities with book choice and ownership, peer to peer tutoring, multi-cultural literacy programming, professional literacy instruction development for educators, all to positively impact grade level reading proficiency, workforce development, building a diverse teacher pipeline, social justice and ending the cycle of generational poverty.

READ USA focuses on providing free books to every elementary student in Jacksonville, in order to close the literacy gap and elevate reading. We also have a tutoring program for elementary school students to work one to one with the students in an effort to streamline efforts to minimize the literacy gap.
