Volunteer: College InternshipsMOSH offers College Internships both for course credit and degree enrichment. Students will receive real-world experience working in a museum setting alongside museum professionals. Total hour commitments vary depending on the requirements of each student’s course, but we require at least 100 hours. The College Internship program accepts applicants on a rolling admission. College Interns must be juniors or seniors in their major fields. Past Adult Volunteers have assisted in the Florida Naturalist’s Center, Education, Public Programs & Special Events, Bryan-Gooding Planetarium, Collections, and Guest Relations departments. Adult Volunteers who are interested in becoming Docents must complete a week-long training and practice tours before giving Museum tours independently.
