Volunteers are needed to help with the annual Point in Time Count. The Point in Time is a national, annual census and survey of people experiencing homelessness. Volunteers join a survey team, walking in groups of three or more to count and interview homeless people in specific geographic areas. Volunteers can also assist with data entry after the PIT is over.
All volunteers attend a training session prior to January 22, 2020, which is the day of the PIT Count. On the day of, you will be outside counting and interviewing for up to two hours. All new volunteers are teamed with experienced ones and a route is planned well ahead. Approximately 1 week prior to the count, you will receive information regarding the location you have chosen.
