- We need over 50 volunteers over the course of the day, doing things like proctoring exams, grading tests (don’t worry, no math skills necessary), and working directly with the students to facilitate our fun Ciphering Round. This year’s competition is Friday, February 28, 2020 at the UNF University Center.
- As a volunteer, you will receive a t-shirt (custom designed with a new math-related theme every year), pizza lunch, and an extremely rewarding experience.
- You can volunteer for as little as a couple hours to the entire day.

MATHCOUNTS is a middle school math competition, which starts at the local (chapter) level, with teams advancing to State, and Team Florida advancing to nationals. More importantly, MATHCOUNTS promotes math and STEM for middle school students, with a fun day that celebrates math. Did you know that we have the largest local competition in the country right here in Jacksonville?? We have hosted over 400 students annually from 50+ local schools, and anticipate similar numbers this year. It is a truly exciting day full of interaction with these hard-working students and their teacher-coaches.
