Every April, in celebration of National Poetry Month HopeAtHand.org hosts Jax Poetry Fest to inspire community-based poetry projects and spark a love for language in North Florida. Designed to engage the community, the poetry programming of Hope at Hand is a unique arts and culture experience for Duval County. Spoken word performances, poetry slams, youth poetry contests and workshops are offered at no cost to the public.
Volunteers are needed to assist with set-up of poetry materials, encourage lunch crowd participation in poetry activities and distribute materials during lunch hours.
It’s all fun stuff! No experience necessary!
Volunteers will meet-up at park at designated area (TBD).
