Every April, in celebration of National Poetry Month HopeAtHand.org hosts Jax Poetry Fest to inspire community-based poetry projects and spark a love for language in North Florida. Designed to engage the community, the poetry programming of Hope at Hand is a unique arts and culture experience for Duval County. Spoken word performances, poetry slams, youth poetry contests and workshops are offered at no cost to the public.
Volunteers are needed to assist with space set-up, distribute materials, introduce workshop Facilitators and collect evaluations at our Thursday evening MOCA workshop. You can even welcome to participate during the workshop because it's free!!!
