The Springfield Cleanup Corps, a program of Springfield Preservation and Revitalization in partnership with the City of Jacksonville, hosts 12-15 Community Cleanup events each year to beautify our neighborhood. One of the best ways to support our work is to volunteer at a Community Cleanup.
Join us for this special Alleyway Cleanup in support of the Historic Springfield Animal Alert initiative! We’re taking action to protect the Springfield community animals and reduce dog attacks in our neighborhood. After too many injuries and tragic losses from stray dogs, it’s time to make our alleyways safe for everyone—both humans and our furry friends!
This isn’t just a regular tidy-up; it’s about protecting lives and ensuring safety. We need volunteers to make a real difference! Let’s come together for a fun and impactful morning! Save the kitties!
Bring yard work tools if you have them, some examples of useful tools for this type of work are sawzalls, chainsaws, weedwhackers, lawn mowers, hand saws, loppers, hedge trimmers, shears, or machetes. Please bring work gloves and other personal protective equipment (PPE) tailored to your needs. Reach out to us if you have any further questions about the logistics of this volunteer opportunity.
