Help Us Care for Jacksonville’s Fur-Babies!
Through FSCJ Serves, Florida State College at Jacksonville students, faculty and staff are invited to support our local Animal Care & Protective Services (ACPS) shelters by participating in a community donation drive. These shelters rely heavily on donated materials to help provide comfort, sanitation, and enrichment for animals while they wait to be adopted.
Runs through Monday, July 13, 2026 - Thursday August 13, 2026
Where can you drop off donations? Student life centers - collegewide
Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to donate gently used or new items to support the care of shelter animals.
Requested Donation Items:
- Used towels (bath towels, hand towels, and small towels)
- Flat bed sheets (please do not donate fitted sheets with elastic to ensure safe use by the animals)
- Pillow cases
- Animal treats
All donated items should be clean and in usable condition.
Students who donate items may receive volunteer credit through FSCJ Serves as follow:
Linens & Household Items (Towels, flat sheets, pillowcases)
- 1–2 items = 0.5 hour
- 3–4 items = 1 hour
- 5–7 items = 2 hours
- 8–10 items = 3 hours
- 11+ items = 4 hours (maximum)

Please note that responding to the opportunity does not automatically log volunteer hours.
After donating items, students, faculty and staff must manually log their volunteer hours in FSCJ Serves and include a brief description of the items donated.
If you are unsure how to log your hours, a Student Life assistant will be available to help guide you through the process.
