This opportunity is available for active International Club members who participated in Club Rush and helped represent the club during the event.

To help ensure hours are recorded accurately, this opportunity is intended specifically for International Club members who actively participated in an approved Club Rush event.

It is not intended as an open volunteer opportunity or general sign-up opportunity. Students should only log hours if they participated in representing the International Club during Club Rush.

Please ensure you are providing the name of the campus or center you tabled at to ensure proper approval process.

Represent your country at International Education Week's Food & Culture Festival! Email laura.pitois@fscj.edu to ask if the International Club has your country's trifold display in stock; if not, we supply materials for you to make a one. You will stand at your country's table and chat with festival participants. Optional: wear traditional clothing and/or bring items decorate your table. This is a fun way to share your culture with the FSCJ community!

General Volunteers for the Food and Culture Festival will set up country displays; serve food; assist Laura Pitois with running the festival; clean up afterwards; return materials to storage. Note: if you want to represent your country at a country table, please see the International Club's Opportunity to volunteer as an Ambassador. This opportunity is for general volunteers only. Thank you!

Do you speak a second language? Volunteers will have a table in the Downtown Campus lobby, where they will give informal, one-on-one lessons to other students, in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Volunteers will be given a whiteboard, markers, scratch paper, and, depending on the language, books, games, or other supplies. You are welcome to bring books, worksheets, or games, or just bring yourself!

Decorate the room for karaoke; set up the A/V equipment; set out refreshments; cheer for the participants; after, take down decorations, clean up, and put materials in storage. You are welcome to sing, or you can just watch!

Decorate the lobby for Mexican Day of the Dead celebration: set up crafts table; set out refreshments; show students how to make the crafts; after, take down decorations, clean up, and put materials in storage.

Set out and organize dozens of flags for the International Education Week flag parade; decorate the lobby; parade around Downtown campus carrying the flag of your choice (optional); after the parade, fold flags and place back in the correct envelope, take down decorations, and return items to storage.
