National Recovery Month is a national observance to educate Americans that substance use treatment and mental health services can enable those with substance abuse and mental health disorders to live a healthy and rewarding life.

This town hall will begin with a screening of PBS documentary Addiction and will be followed by an expert panel of local professionals that are helping manage the opioid crisis in Jacksonville.

Panelists:

- Venu Kolli (Walgreens)
- Dr. Amit Vijapura (VIJAPURA Behavioral Health)
- Rico Bodin (Gateway Community Services)
- Sally Finn (Drug Free Duval)
- Dan Renaud (Florida Recovery Schools)

Moderated By: Chelsea Garcia

We invite all comunity members to come out and get educated on this topic so you can empower yourself and those around you to become a part of the solution. The expert panel will be engaged in a guided discussion answering some very relevant questions and if time permits they will be available to take additional questions from the audience. In celebration of National Recovery Month we are hosting this town hall in the hopes that education and empowerment will work to fight the stigma that prevents the community from moving forward on mental health and substance abuse issues.
