Each April, in celebration of National Poetry Month, Hope at Hand hosts Jax Poetry Fest to inspire and spark a love of poetry and language for North Florida residents. Spoken word performances, open mics, poetry slams, youth poetry contests and poetry workshops are a few examples of events that are offered at no cost to the public by Hope at Hand. National Poem in Your Pocket Day provides a beautiful opportunity to allow the healing power of poetry to spill over into our everyday lives.
