Barkin' Biscuits Pet Bakery

Barkin’ Biscuits Pet Bakery is an all-natural dog treat baking operation out of North Florida School of Special Education that provides its Transition & Postgraduate students with intellectual and developmental differences with vocational training. The program is offered five days a week (on applicable school days), with students aged 18 to 45+. Barkin’ Biscuits is a nationwide supplier of all-natural, tasty dog treats that your canine will love!

Volunteers follow recipes, mix ingredients, roll and cut the dough, weigh and package for the retail market, and prepare custom orders alongside our students!

Know Before You Go:

Volunteers must be 14+ years old to serve at Barkin' Biscuits.

Barkin' Biscuits is located adjacent to NFSSE’s main campus at 400 Mill Creek Rd. Jacksonville, Fl 32211. Please use the parking lot address 8842 Arlington Expy, Jacksonville, FL 32211 for easy navigation to Barkin' Biscuits. The single-story building is NFSSE’s Barkin’ Biscuits Pet Bakery.

NO PEANUT BUTTER ALLERGIES!! If you have any allergies to other foods, please let us know beforehand.

Required Attire:

- Closed-toe shoes

- Hat (Barkin’ Biscuits follows food safety guidelines. Hairnets & loaner hats are available if needed, but please try to bring your own!)

- School-appropriate attire: no spaghetti straps. If shorts are worn, they should be at least finger-tip length. (Please be mindful our students may be easily distracted by low-cut shirts and short shorts). No explicit language or graphics on clothing.
