Description

Feeding Northeast Florida (FNEFL) is the community’s largest hunger-relief network, working to establish food security across eight counties in Northeast Florida. FNEFL provides food pantries, distribution and food assistance programs to the community.  

 

Service Learning Tasks

FSCJ service learners will work in the food pantry/warehouse to assist with sorting, bagging and distributing food.

 

What to Know Before You Go

Wear closed-toe shoes, long pants or shorts. No clothing displaying derogatory pictures or writing and no sleeveless or mid-drift exposed shirts. There is no heat or air-conditioning in the warehouse so please dress appropriately for the weather. Bottled water is provided for participants during shifts. Volunteer parking is in the grass lot past the warehouses.

 

There are 20 volunteer spots available on a first-come, first-served basis.
