About:
Feeding Northeast Florida helps local children and families, seniors and active and retired military members who struggle to put food on the table. Working with local grocery stores, manufacturers, and farms we rescue high-quality food that would normally be wasted and transform it into meals for those in need.
#GivingTuesday Tasks:
FSCJ Volunteers will be working with food sorting and packing up bags. Volunteers will help assemble bags of frozen meats, produce, and dry goods for the monthly distribution
Know before you go:
Volunteers must wear close-toed shoes and wear comfortable and appropriate clothing. A Giving Tuesday t-shirt will be provided to you. It is encouraged to bring a water bottle.
Parking:
Entrance to the facility is on 1st street. You will turn onto 1st Street from Edgewood Ave. N. and immediately turn right into the fenced warehouse complex. Volunteer parking is in the grass lot past the warehouse. The entrance to the warehouse is up on the dock behind the 4 white stationary tractor trailers.
