Academic Service Learning: K9S for Warriors

Student service learners will have the opportunity to learn firsthand about how certified therapy dogs are trained at the K9 For Warrior’s facility. The students will be given a 30 min overview of the entire program including a facility tour which this will be followed up by 1 on 1 interaction with a few of the newly trained service dogs.. Students will have the opportunity to participate in a sample training exercise prior to being assigned to a wounded warrior veteran.
