FSCJ is a sponsor for the Armed Forces Half Marathon on Saturday, October 16, 2021.
As a sponsor, the College is seeking approx. 20 volunteers to distribute cups of water to racers at Water Station 2, on Riverside Avenue in front of the Haskell Bldg. (111 Riverside Ave, Jacksonville, FL 32202).
Volunteers will need to be there by 6:15 a.m.-6:30 a.m. because of anticipated road closures in the immediate area. Parking across the street is recommended. Please exercise caution when crossing the street to the Haskell Bldg.
The volunteers will hand out cups of water to the runners and clean up the cups that are dropped on the ground.
The race begins at 7:00 a.m. so we will be done by 9:15 a.m. or 9:30 a.m. at latest!
All water, cups, etc. will be provided by the USO.
Masks will be responsibility of volunteers.
